Recipe Nutritional Analysis Services

Recipe nutritional analysis includes food label nutrition facts panel and information on other nutrients as desired.  For example the food content of the 26 nutrients included in the Dietary Guidelines for Americans 2010 could be included. A Choose Your Foods :  Exchange Lists for Diabetes representation for the food can be provided if requested. In addition comments on how the recipe could be modified to meet current nutritional recommendations (e.g. content of saturated fat and sodium) are included.

Nutritional analysis services are provided by Madelyn L. Wheeler. She is a Registered Dietitian, Certified Diabetes Educator, Fellow of the American Dietetics Association, and has a master’s degree in nutrition/institutional management from Ohio State University.  She was formerly coordinator, Research Dietetics, for the Indiana University School of Medicine (Dept of Medicine, Endocrinology Section,  Diabetes Prevention and Control Center), Indianapolis.  She has an extensive background in recipe analysis (using the NCC recipe analysis program).  She has analyzed recipes for most of the cookbooks the American Diabetes Association produces, as well as the Diabetes Forecast magazine recipes.  In addition she has analyzed recipes for other nonprofit associations, commercial restaurants and restaurant chains.
