A review of the Menu Creation program appeared in an American Dietetic Association ADA Times March/April 2008 issue , “Before You Buy, Get the Lowdown on Nutrition Software”, . The Menu Creation program review included the following “no other software has an extensive a toolbox for menu planning. More than 400 precategorized meals, prebuilt meal plans with recipes form the basis of your menus and the program tailors standard or therapeutic diets to match client health goals, preferences and allergies.” The Menu Creation program was also the least expensive program. Four of the six programs that were reviewed cost $595 dollars or more whereas the Menu Creation program is only $99.95.
The Menu Creation program was also reviewed in the Diabetes In Control website in the August 26, 2008 Issue 431. The review by Janesha O. Womack said in part "Overall, this program is an excellent tool that could prove to be a beneficial part of a treatment plan. It is a known fact that most of us eat the same foods time after time after time. With this is mind, it would be most beneficial to patients to incorporate the foods the patients enjoys eating into the menu. Patients on insulin could also precalculate the amount of insulin needed to cover a particular meal in advance based on the carbs listed on the menu. This software helps with the day to day meal planning that is an important pathway on the journey to control." |
